What does the Advocacy Service provide?
The service provides support to adults with mental health difficulties. The Advocacy Service can support people by:

Listening - we listen to you without making judgement
Moral Support - we can attend meetings or appointments with you and support you to speak up for yourself.
Speaking on your behalf - based on your view we can speak for you if you're unable to do so.
Providing Information - helping you find any information you feel you need to make a decision e.g knowing your rights
Supporting - you with any issues such as health care issues, making complaints, housing issues and social issues.

Who can use the service?
Anyone over the age of 18 who uses mental health services within South Derbyshire and Derbyshire Dales can access the service.

When does it run?
Individual appointments are available Monday to Friday 9:00am - 4:30pm.

Where does it operate?
The service is based at 46 - 48 Grove Street, Swadlincote but is committed to serving the whole of South Derbyshire & Derbyshire Dales.

How much will it cost?
Nothing, the Advocacy Service is free.
