South Derbyshire CVS - Receptionists

Do You Want to Join a Fantastic Team of People?

(Well, we would say that wouldn't we?)

South Derbyshire CVS is looking for a volunteer receptionist to join it's team to work a few hours each week and help out during holidays and times of illness.

This key role - the first point of contact for many of the people visiting the CVS office - involves staffing a joint reception for visitors to CVS and South Derbyshire Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB), and a small telephone switchboard for the CVS.

You will receive out of pocket expenses, induction, full training and support plus enjoyment guaranteed.

Next Step (Against Domestic Abuse) - Various Roles

Next Step (Against Domestic Abuse) need volunteers in a number of roles:

  • Admin Worker
  • Childrens/Dependant Sitting Service
  • Executive Committe Member
  • Helpline Telephone Operator
  • Outreach Befreinder/Advocacy Worker
  • Treasurer/Bookkeeper

The organisation provides a supportive voice to all adults and young people who are experiencing the trauma of domestic abuse. They provide a free appointment based, confidential service with a trained befriender. They also offer a free appointment based Counselling Service.

Full training and support will be provided in all the voluntary roles. If you are interested in volunteering with the group please telephone 01283 224024 for more information.


Burton Hospitals League of Friends

The Buron Hospital League of Friends is a volunteer group working hard to launch a new initiative to grow their fundraising efforts.

The new shop, which will operate just by the main entrance to the Queens Hospital, just where it can't be missed! It will be seeling a range of itmes and all money made will go directly to the hospital.
